Kanye West has been the target of increasing antisemitic attacks since he spoke at the Republican National Convention last week.
The musician, who wore Yeezy Air Max 1s at the event, has been called the ‘antichrist’ and suggested he was a’son of Satan’.
But a Jewish collector has now called on West to sell his shoes and donate the proceeds to charity.
“All you need to do is stop buying his shoes. He is so bad for you. He is a terrible person,” said Rabbi Dan Wolff, who owns and runs the Wolff & Associates Judaica boutique in New York.
“He is clearly not a good guy. He is trying to push the envelope to the absolute limit.”
Wolff said that he believes West is a ‘serial offender’ who can’t help but attack his fellow black people. He said he is unsure if the shoes West wore were a part of a large pair sold out of the store last week.
“I would put it in the same ballpark as those that were thrown at Barack Obama,” said Wolff.
“Is this about Obama? No. Is he a serial offender, yes. His problem is he is always attacking our people.”
The Jewish collector told the New York Times that he bought his pair of Yeezy sneakers for around $300.
“My son has one. The same color. I just gave it to him to wear at the wedding. They were a gift of love,” he said.
Wolff said he has received an angry tirade from West on Twitter and in person over the past month – and not just from West’s followers.
In a lengthy rant sent to the New York Times in late August, West accused Jews of ‘creating a monster’ and trying to control his career.
