The only one that isn’t a direct hallucination is the one brother who’s in the hospital room setting. Is he playing the roll of the ritalin? (Snowy walled in place, meadow at sunset/golfing turf, hallway with doctors(/maybe hospital room?), peppermints, green button, shark, floating (it’s its own type of hallucination)

This song hits hard for me. Not only is it a great song but I was diagnosed with ADD and prescribed Ritalin at the age of 9 (I stopped taking medication when I was 14). Not only did have have a bad experience with side effects, but I would always be last in line for lunch at school because I would go to the nurses office first to take another dose. Any time there was a test I would be sent to a separate room with just a teacher so I wouldn't be a distraction for myself or others. I never did homework or cared about my grades, all I ever wanted was to feel normal. I am better now but sometimes I think back and it gets me down.

The static on the TV screen reminds me of both a few images while tripping on psychedelics (not Ketamine though to the best of my recollection) which I believe are due to how many hours I have spent in my life staring at screens with pixels of one sort the the other, and also waking up the first time after being put on Serequel while at an inpatient facility. It felt like that for awhile and then the feeling dissipated. I stayed on it while I was there, but due to having the worst migraine of my life upon it being unexpectedly discontinued and the fact that it seemed to prevent me from crying even though I still felt like I needed to, I decided not to take it again.
