How Ankylosaurs Got Their Clubs

Take the PBS Digital Studios annual survey: to.pbs.org/2020survey
Our National Fossil Day Livestream will be on Facebook and MNmore at 8 PM ET on October 14th. Here's the link to the MNmore livestream: mnmore.info/bin/video/mY-bvrppj56ln7g
While clubs are practically synonymous with ankylosaurs, we’ve only started to get to the bottom of how they worked and how this unusual anatomy developed in the first place.
Thanks to Victoria Arbour for providing a number of images for this episode! pseudoplocephalus.com/
And thanks to Ceri Thomas (nixillustration.com) and Fabrizio de Rossi ( ArtofFabricious/) for allowing us to use their wonderful paleoart in this episode.

When one listens to evolution beliefs about development, you come to realise that design is the only plausible answer. How does one animal without a club tail, decide it needs a club tail, and sets about developing one over the proverbial “millions of years”? And this from an animal who does not even understand the dynamics of acceleration and momentum.

There has been a lot of buzz about possible life in the clouds above Venus recently, and I wanted to ask: If life was discovered there, who will name it? Should it follow the same naming conventions as we have on earth? Or something completely different? I know it's a little different than what you normally talk about on Eons, and I debated which PBS show to ask this question on, but I think you all are the experts on naming recently discovered lifeforms!

Another wonderful program! Thank you. Here's my idea for an article by your group. The real reasons that Dinos grew so large was linked to oxygen levels. It allowed for the great massive bulk of the sauropods and it allowed large Pterosaurs the metabolic ability to fly. Now from my readings it also answers why dinos died out after the Great Impact. Shortness of breath, and why the small mammals and birds survived. But why did birds never grow as large as their ancient kin? And Has oxygen levels been effecting other extinctions like quaternary. Thank you for listening.
