I don't understand anything in this video

I did this experiment before and though i didn't research it, my guess was that because the because are had no place to get in from that made the liquid trapped inside to avoid creating a vacuum but when you open it air causes airpressure because the heavy liquid is going to go down(the water) because greater mass with the same gravitational pull will cause the water to have more weight and would cause the result in the video
