Hi, I saw your video for the first time yesterday, looked to me like eastern Ontario. I grew up on a farm just west of Toronto, am a Guelph grad 1969. out west since 1972. I know a few sheep producers out here, they have a dedicated sheep processing plant in Innisfail AB, I love their lamb burgers easily available in Safeway.

I have learned so much from you, Sandy. I don't think I've ever encountered a more humble, human being. I've been fortunate enough to be apart of raising black hawaiins and black belly barbettoes for the last 3 years. I can officially call myself " countrified ", lol. Thank you for being my learning curve thru this amazing journey I've been on and look forward to your educational videos everyday. You are a beautiful soul lady!!!

I like learning about the business side of the sheep business. Sheep farming is interesting. I always thought sheep were raised on BLM land with a sheep herder, not in a barn🤔. I take it that you're not raising sheep on contract? I think I'd like to raise pigs in Iowa on contract. Is the sheep business better, or worse than the pig business without a contract? I didn't think lamb meet was very popular in the US, so is the wool a bigger money maker than the sheep? I'm new to the channel and don't understand the business yet.

I have been with you from the beginning of your journey here. How and why I found you, was purely a God wink. I have been blessed since and watch every video, sometimes 2 or 3 times, and just love your passion for these precious animals, your work ethic and your educational and humorous commentary. I am an animal lover, all animals, and do have cats, dogs and horses. I am in love with your sheep and my hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia(Renovated Historical Colonial town), breeds a rare sheep from Australia and New Zealand called Leicester Longwools. They are so precious, quite small and the bedrock of the down under sheep industry. I learn so much from every video you create and love watching every tiny new life come into this world. Your care and attention shines with pride beaming out through your eyes. For every little baby you see being born, your smile always makes me smile and tear up. I just love it. I guess, what I honestly love most about you, is your pure genuineness and vulnerability. Your life has come with challenges that some never live through, your daily chores can come with an absolute upside down day that you never saw coming and brings you to tears, but through all of it, you keep going. Your endless determination and unwavering work ethic inspires me, a first grade teacher for 27 years in South Florida(yes, I have had and thankfully, lived through, Covid 19), to do better, be better and keep learning how to do my purpose better. I want to thank you for all you do that helps all of us make this world smile more and want to be better. I want to reach through my computer and give you a hug and let you know how appreciated and important you are just by being you. Thank you and please continue sharing your world with us, just in a way that keeps you healthy and rested. We love every gift you give. Know that.

i found this also applies to calves and pigs, 39 years ago i started rasing layers for eggs and meat chickens and white turkeys, all for people in need, 2 years later i expanded into buying up darriy cross beef calves, i use to buy the calves were ever i could, different farms, to the trucks that picked up calves to take the to the east or west sales barns, Toronto area or Winnipeg ,, i had so much cost in meds, and so many not respond to treatment, it was really frustrating, the amount i was spending on drugs only to loss so many, i would say 80% that i bought off the trucks heading to a sales barn up to 1200 miles away, the calves were sick when i got them, one wonders how many on them trucks really make it to the sales barns, seems because they are mostly all bull calves with some free martens, the farmers dont care about them, and lucky if the even see colostrum. i soon sorced a few darriy farmers that cross bread there cows as they didnt need any new stock, and even with the very low market calve price, i been able to work directly with local farms, and i supply the farmer a fist response vaccine, that must be given to a new born calf with in 12 hours, this is far from cheap per head. but it pays off big time.., and that cut my loss ten fold, i am not saying i dont have loss as i do... then in 198 i also go into buying 7 week old piglets and feeding them till butcher weight, but in 2006 the cost of piglets went from $25 cnd to 120$, so i raises female piglets to breading age, and bought a boar, today 7 week old piglets sell for $150 each. being i dont raise stock for resale, it is for people in need, if you have seen my videos, some times i am forced to sell some to help with feed cost or buying of calves when no funds are available, but i do my best to keep that number very low,, to zero

Really people - this is not a cute fuzzy video ride! It's real! Lambs get pushed out of ewe's with blood and poop and other fluids. They all came out alive and healthy today! That's a great video!

Sandi ~ My brain is wondering how long I’ve followed you and what caused me to come back. I just remember I popped in when something had gone horribly wrong and you were pretty broken My compassion came on full blown and I sent a comment which would have been one of the first ones, if not the first. Knowing nothing about you or your business. I knew nothing at all. I remember thinking in my elders years that if I could figure out how to get there somehow, I could help you do something. Maybe that would help. So funny. That was my desire since I was pretty young. Alas, it is virtually impossible health wise to be of any help now at almost 82. Having said that, I’m still thinking I could still bottle feed the new born lambs. Such a dreamer. Since then, I’ve had times where I’ve literally taken notes and read up on different breeds, etc. I still firmly believe you need another helper during lambing. I have grown to admire you, Mark, Jess and Jack, separately and as a team. More than that, as a family! I love the humor and seriousness and what it literally means to be a farmer in a very basic level. I have learned how to read your emotions and not panic when it’s really tough. You are resilient. You and your husband crack me up. You are both great parents, friends to each other and to others. You are survivors. You are not quitters. Much, much more. I am a fan and a subscriber. I flat love you and yours. No, I’m pretty sure I couldn’t have been a sheep farmer when I was young or ever. Many blessing and prayers sent your way. I’ll be here in California with my pompoms cheering you on. Loving you dearly, Sandi. O, and your eager and hilarious dog. 🐑🐏💜😁🙏

I hear you. I had a melt down out of know where. After time I realized it was because I was a wife and a mother but lost who I was. When I found me again and who I am life opened up for me. Great family support hardest time of my life. Today I own my downfall because I found a bright lite that keeps me going. Has great family support and now I’m a wife a mom a Mimi and just me, with a big smile on my face. Don’t be embarrassed of your journey own it. It’s a lot of fun knowing how far we came.🙃🙃🙃🙃🤪🤪🤪🤪😂😂😂😂😂🤓🤓🤓🤓🧐🧐🧐🧐🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

It has taken me years to get back to being able to have some confidence in myself. Your story gives me courage to keep trying even if it's hard. This is gonna sound crazy, but would you ever consider keeping a very small (like, 3 or 4) number of ewes to the side to be on corn-free diets, as well as their lambs? Corn allergies can be extremely dangerous, and there are some people who search for corn-free animals to purchase (I follow someone on twitter who buys a calf every single year, and then gets the meat from it once the animal is grown). I know it would be difficult, but it might be a good little side project to help out those with such severe allergies.

That little "Oops" is about how I looked when my mom walked in on me with the broken vacuum... the THIRD broken vacuum.... I was no longer allowed to vacuum. :|

I love barns and farm life in general, I've lived in a city my whole life but whenever I visit one, it seems so peaceful with the animals all eating etc. I think your story is really inspiring. I'm still figuring out my path...
