I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed in S. Colbert. I used to love his night shows, and taped them in order to watch them later. But after this interview my feelings changed about him. During this interview he came across for me as a pathetic control freak. First of all he overdressed the President by wearing a strikingly expensive suit. Secondly, he put the President into a very uncomfortable situation by forcing on him a silly "basketball game" by throwing crumpled papers into waste baskets. As somebody noticed: "giving him lightweight yellow pat paper and keeping higher density blue paper for Colbert", also, Colbert obviously practiced, so no wonder he won. Even worse, he celebrated himself proudly after that. I felt so bad for President Obama; it was an ambush and he was visible embarrassed and confused. It was an unworthy thing from Colbert's part, not funny at all. I hope when Colbert sees again this part he will feel ashamed of himself. If not, he is missing empathy.
