External factors like defensive adjustments, roster changes, coaching adjustments were not considered. I watched the video and it is mainly based on margin of victories. I would need some explanation how this became a basis for having an easy path rather than having an overall gritty squad. But I must note the video is not hating, it's just looking at a single stat to explain claims. If I was being optimistic, the one who has the greater grit gets it all instead of them having an easier path. Everyone grinds their ass off to get to a level where they make it look easy. It's a disrespect for their efforts. Just my two cents.

Thoroughly flawed metric. I hope you fix this video. First of all and most importantly: SRS goes stationary during the playoffs and it’s BS. Denver and Heat’s SRS should increase exponentially because they beat very high SRS teams. Is it seriously suggested that this championship run is ONE OF THE EASIEST because two primary title contenders lost? No - adjust SRS of two teams that beat title contenders and stop finding new ways to discredit Lebron. Outside that, the sole indicator of how deceiving this formula is is the fact that 2019 Raptors have a good score. Lol.

It is weird though, because the heat smoked teams in the playoffs, even teams with better srs were getting beat downs. I feel like that has to be taken into account somehow. Basically srs doesnt take into account how a team is currently playing and any injuries the teams have had. Maybe a team has a bad srs because a good player was injured who is now back. You can see how this would change things

Every champs not create equal . BUT this data not right, before they put a total score they have to minus the score of the subject team. It does not matter if champs team beat 10 10 and 10 scrore teams to champ if the champs is also 10 or 15 score, they just beat inferior teams. But if champs is a 4 or5 and they beat 10 that is matter. Why you dont realise this simple theory.

It's crazy to think that 1995 Houston rockets championship run is so damn hard considering the advanced stats after seeing this video and also the fact that hakeem olajuwon was the solo all star in the team even though they acquired drexler. Drexler did not make the all star team in 1995. As a sixth seed in the west facing teams who had records of at least 57 wins in the regular season and Orlando in the finals who won 58 games in the season, hakeem was in another level in the playoffs.

  42. Hotmanlion12

We can talk about how easy/hard it was to win each title all day, but it doesn’t really matter, because no team can control how good or bad their competition is. At the end of the day, we’re talking about teams playing at the highest level of professional basketball. You have to be pretty damn great to win a championship, no matter how “easy” it was, so discussions about the difficulty of a particular championship run are a waste of time in my opinion. It’s really only something people talk about when they want to discredit the championships of players/teams they don’t like.

We praise a man who refused to use his voice but crucify and diminish one who engages in so much more than the game. Please give the man credit for running his conference. The Celtics gotta big 3 with 4 H.O.F. players no one called their playoff runs out. We killed KD for joining but WHO called out GS? LeBron is the most scrutinized athlete of all time. There will never be another. Jordan is the G.O.A.T. but ask yourself does Jordan win every Finals LeBron lost? Think on it cause tbh he might not even get there.

Meh I don't like this metric at all to compare eras, it needs to be normalized for lower and higher scoring eras and a more competitive vs. top heavy league. Otherwise these results will just favor teams that played in eras that had maybe 2 - 3 truly competitive teams in each conference (and even this would favor a league that was stratified between a definite alpha team and 2 - 3 teams at a level below that feast on the rest of the conference). Also just comparing against finals vs. road to finals...that really diminishes everything that leads to it. You gotta win enough to make the playoffs, you gotta win enough to make the finals, and you have to win the finals. You can only play the teams that make the finals, regardless if there good or bad, and you have to win it and as you alluded to, in 20 years, nobody is gonna care, its the Lakers 17th championship, and possibly remember it is Lebron's 4th. If you want to fault Lebron for not having MJ's perfect finals record so be it. My counter argument is that teams win championships, stars just aid that process. If you want to argue who helped their teams more to win a championship I'll gladly take up that debate.

The number one potentially misleading thing about this is Statistical Significance, or lack of it. That means let's say ratings 9.0 to 11.5. big difference on the chart....but is it actually a significant enough difference to say 9.0 is less difficult than 11.5? You DON'T KNOW that unless you do further statistical analysis. And even then with a heuristic method like this, you don't really come to a definitive conclusion most of the time, unless it's two WILDY different seasons you can tell mostly by watching it.
