I had a thought about the giraffe. Toys R Us used a giraffe mascot. Who plays with toys? Kids! I’ve also heard some new parents use yellow and or green for their new baby’s room or clothes to avoid the “blue is for boys, pink is for girls” stereotype. And giraffes incorporate yellow in their coloring. And so those parent often end up with items decorated with giraffes. I’d say they’re using it as another subtle hint about children.
